Gangneung Asan Hospital News: Awarded the ‘Minister of Health and Welfare Award’ for Child Protection Hospital Best Practice!

Gangneung Asan Hospital has been awarded the Grand Prize (Minister of Health and Welfare Award) at the ‘2025 Child Protection Hospital Best Practice Contest’ hosted by the National Center for the Rights of the Child.

The hospital was selected as a top case for providing rapid support for abused children—ranging from early diagnosis to medical treatment and surgery—and for establishing a comprehensive protection system through close cooperation with local governments, police, and other relevant agencies.

Following this award, Gangneung Asan Hospital plans to further fulfill its role as a dedicated child protection hospital, ensuring that victims of abuse can receive safe diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.

Additionally, the hospital donated the entire prize of 1.3 million KRW in local gift certificates to a shelter for abused children in Gangneung, further supporting children in need of protection.
